Cornerstone Academy

Cornerstone Academy was founded in 1994 in Chicago's Austin neighborhood by members of LaSalle Street Church with help from Circle Urban Ministries and Rock of Our Salvation Church, in response to the increasing number of low- to- moderate income students who were dropping out of area high schools each year. Cornerstone's calling is to support and educate Chicago students whose academic needs are not being met by larger, traditional schools and whose talents are in danger of being wasted.  Now housed in the Cornerstone Center and an official partner of LaSalle Street Church, Cornerstone Academy exists to provide students with an intentionally small Christian high school experience that is personalized, comprehensive, and leads toward a diploma, a Christian moral code, and tools for self-sufficiency.
